Ella Marija Lani Yelich-O'Connor (born November 7, 1996), known professionally as Lorde, is a New Zealand singer, songwriter and record producer. She is signed with Universal Music Group.

She released her first EP, The Love Club, in 2013. The EP's single , "Royals," helped Lorde rise to prominence as it was met with international acclaim. On September 27, 2013, she put out her debut studio album, Pure Heroine. The following year, Lorde curated the soundtrack for the 2014 film The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 1 and recorded several tracks, including the single "Yellow Flicker Beat". On June 16, 2017, she released her second studio album Melodrama, which garnered widespread acclaim.
